Realme C73 5G Review : Realme tries to add some zing to their budget handsets; the Realme C73 5G does all that and more for an entry-level 5G phone. The design is not exceedingly good; smooth operation on the part of the display; a few other unexpected features that came in at this price point. The C73 makes a very strong case for itself.

Slim and Premium Looking Design

Realme C73 5G can be called slim and light but you would be pleasantly surprised to know it looks and feels so much better for a budget competitor. Two beautiful color options of it just sparkle away with shiny smooth back finish. The camera module on the rear flaunts some fanciful patterns with nice thick outlines that scream futuristic and technology wise. The full-plastic construction of this phone is something that appears to be solid enough to hold comfortably.

Smooth Display to Use

In an available 120Hz refresh rate, this 6.72-inch full HD+ LCD screen feels extremely smooth when scrolling and swiping. Not AMOLED, but decent enough to watch a video or play games. Colors should be vibrant and bright, which is something one would expect from a budget phone.

Average Performance: 5G Ready

Realme C73 is decent enough to do some intermediate multimedia activities like chatting, watching some videos, and light gaming. The MediaTek Dimensity 6100 + chipset proved to be just sufficient for all this routine smartphone work. And being a 5G phone, browsing is a whole new venture with excitement. The RAM option goes up to 6 GB with 128 GB storage. Should be good enough for a common man; in case he wants to expand, then a microSD would help.

Not to Be Taken Too Seriously – The Camera

A 50MP primary camera augmented by an AI Assistant lens. Most of the pictures turn out well exposed, sharp, and colorful under bright sunny conditions. Night shots, though, tend to fall into the mediocre zone. Honestly, the 8MP front camera would be acceptable for a selfie or two along with video calling. This phone is not much about the camera in any professional sense, but it is certainly good enough for capturing memories in your everyday life.

For the Battery and Charging

I would say a battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh is a reasonably sized battery because it goes for a whole day. It withstands video watching, browsing, and texting quite well. Fast charging at 33W is a sweetener; in less than an hour, you reach from zero to almost full.

Clean Software Experience

This phone works on Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14. The UI is clean, smooth, and very intuitive to grasp. It comes with a couple of bloatware applications, most of which can be removed. It has some useful features such as RAM expansion and app cloning.

Overall, a great budget phone that offers so much for what it gives. It supports 5G, there is a smooth display, battery life is good, and the design is good. C73 5G is worth looking at if heavy gaming is out of your consideration nor a high-end camera application is in your requirement list; but a decent phone for daily life would be.
