Oppo Reno 14 Pro vs Reno 13 Pro: When I held the Oppo Reno 14 Pro and Reno 13 Pro in my hands, both the phones looked exactly the same at first glance. There was no major difference in design, size, and screen quality. The punch hole camera on the front, three cameras at the back, and curved edges made both feel the same to me. It seemed as if Oppo had adopted a ‘do whatever you want’ strategy, but there are slight differences in the features inside that make the experience special.

Processor and performance: Fast and smooth!

The Mediatek Dimensity 8450 processor of the Reno 14 Pro is a little new and powerful. As soon as I opened the phone, I felt its difference in gaming and multitasking. At the same time, the Mediatek Dimensity 8350 of the Reno 13 Pro is also great, but a little less powerful. With 12GB of RAM in both, apps open quickly and multitasking remains smooth. I tested social media, video editing, and gaming simultaneously, both phones worked without a hitch. But if you do a little high-end gaming or video editing, the Reno 14 Pro will feel a little faster.

Display and visuals: Bright and natural

The 6.83-inch AMOLED screens on both phones made my experience even more beautiful. The colors were so natural and bright that watching videos and editing photos became fun. The Reno 14 Pro’s screen is slightly curved, which made it a little affectionate to hold, and it also looks premium. The Reno 13 Pro’s flat screen felt more practical and comfortable for everyday use. The 120Hz refresh rate also makes scrolling very smooth, especially on social media.

Camera experience: Make every moment great

Talking about the cameras, both the phones made my photo shooting experience very good. The ultra-wide camera on the Reno 14 Pro is 50MP, with which I took great shots in group photos and landscape shooting. The 8MP ultra-wide on the Reno 13 Pro felt a little less powerful, but its pictures were also quite good. The 3.5x optical zoom and OIS feature of both phones made my close-up shots look absolutely professional. In night photography, both gave clear photos even in low light. The front camera is 50MP and is great for video calling or selfies.

Battery and charging: All day companion

The 6200mAh battery on the Reno 14 Pro gave me the confidence to last the whole day without charging. I watched videos, played games, was active on social media all day, and still the battery remained. 50W wireless charging was a big plus for me as it was very easy to put the phone on and off charging. At the same time, the 5800mAh battery on the Reno 13 Pro was also great, but it seemed to run out a little quickly. 80W fast charging is available in both phones, so they charge quickly.

Connectivity and extra features

In both phones you get 5G, NFC, and in-display fingerprint, which are important for security and connectivity. Reno 14 Pro has Wi-Fi 7 support, which gives fast internet speed, while Reno 13 Pro comes with Wi-Fi 6. Both also have IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, so no need to worry about rain or dust. Small but useful features like IR blaster and reverse charging made the using experience even better.

Price decision: What is right according to the budget?

Now let’s talk about the price, which is the biggest factor. The Oppo Reno 14 Pro is priced at around ₹33,200, making it a great option in the budget, especially for those who want a powerful phone but don’t want to spend much. At the same time, the price of Oppo Reno 13 Pro is ₹ 49,999, which is a bit expensive, but is also right according to its features and performance. If you can go a little higher in your budget and want pro features, then Reno 13 Pro is also a great option.

Which is right for you?

If you want a powerful phone with a long battery life, wireless charging, and a slightly premium display, then Oppo Reno 14 Pro is perfect for you. But if your budget is a little higher and you want a reliable, lightweight, and great camera phone, then Reno 13 Pro should be your first choice. Both the phones lived up to my expectations and were a lot of fun to use.
