Time given to residents
People who are affected by this rule have been given three months to surrender their LPG connections. During this time, they need to complete all the formalities and shift fully to PNG.
After the deadline, strict action can be taken against those who do not follow the rule. Authorities have made it clear that there will be no relaxation after the given time.
Instructions for gas agencies
Gas agencies and distributors have also been given clear instructions. They are not allowed to refill LPG cylinders in homes where PNG connections are already active.

The PNG network is expanding quickly in areas like DLW, BHU surroundings, Sundarpur, Chandpur, Chitaipur, Pandeypur, Shivpur, and Sarnath.
People living in these areas will be mostly affected and will need to surrender their LPG connections.

Officials say this step is part of a bigger plan to modernize the gas system. PNG is safer and more convenient compared to LPG cylinders. It also removes the need for cylinder delivery and storage.
