Nothing Phone 3: If you are waiting for a unique and powerful smartphone, then get ready because Nothing Phone (3) is going to be officially launched very soon, i.e. on July 1. Even before the launch, there is a lot of discussion on the internet about its features, design and specifications. From the number of leaks that have come out, it is clear that Nothing is bringing something big and special this time.
New twist in the design
This time the design of Nothing Phone (3) is going to look a little different than before. The Glyph Interface, which was previously seen in the form of strip lights, will now come in a new “Glyph Matrix” form, which will be on the top right of the back of the phone. This Matrix system will give some more personal and dynamic alerts – like working as a music visualizer or showing notifications in a different way.
The transparent look of the phone will remain the same, but the camera placement has definitely been changed. There are three cameras on the back – one sensor is placed separately on the left and the other two cameras are mounted together on the edge. It may be a slightly different design, but this is the identity of Nothing – unique and bold.
The phone will come in classic black and white colors and leaks have also revealed that it is being given a metal body, which will give a premium feel.
Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 performance
Nothing itself has confirmed that the Phone (3) will be given Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor. This is the same chipset that is used in high-end smartphones, meaning there will be no compromise in performance.
According to the Geekbench listing, the score of the phone with this processor is also very strong. This means that gaming, multitasking or heavy apps, everything will run very smoothly.
The phone will run on Android 15 and can get Nothing’s own OS i.e. Nothing OS 3.3 or 3.5. The most important thing is that the company will provide software support to this phone for a full 7 years, in which Android updates will be available for 5 years and security updates for 2 years. Getting such long-term support in this range is a big deal.
Great change in camera setup
The camera system of the Nothing Phone (3) is coming with a tremendous upgrade this time. If the leaks are to be believed, the phone will get a triple 50MP camera setup – a main camera, an ultrawide and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. The periscope lens will be seen for the first time in the Nothing phone, which will allow taking pictures up to 3x optical zoom.
The company is promoting this phone with the tagline “Built for Creators” and it clearly means that a lot of focus has been given to the camera this time. There is also talk of having a 50MP front camera on the front, which will make the quality of selfies and video calls even better.
Big change in battery and charging
The battery of the Phone (3) is also going to be bigger this time. It is being told that it will have a 5150mAh battery, which is much more than the previous model. And the biggest thing – the phone is now expected to get 100W fast charging support, which is a huge jump from the previous 45W.
Not only this, it will also support wireless charging and reverse wireless charging, meaning you will be able to charge your second device with it.
Many more new features expected
The display of the phone will be a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED panel, which will have 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. LTPO technology means that the phone’s screen will be able to adjust the refresh rate as per the need, which will reduce battery consumption.
The phone is expected to have the option of up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. Also, advanced connectivity features like NFC and eSIM will also be provided in it.
Leaks also reveal that the Nothing Phone (3) will have a special button called “Essential Key” on the right side, which you can customize for any function of your choice — like opening the camera or using the voice assistant.
What will be the price in India?
There is no official information about the price yet, but it is said to be around £800 in the UK and around $799 in the US. Its price in India can be slightly less i.e. between ₹50,000 to ₹60,000, which makes it a strong option compared to other flagship phones.
