Update related to fee hike
It has been decided to increase the fee by Rs 10 per student in India and Rs 25 per subject in Nepal and other countries for experimental subjects. Talking about the registration of class IX, there will be an increase of Rs 20 in the fee, and there will be an increase of up to 10 per cent in Nepal and other countries. According to the board officials, this increase is nominal. The financial burden on education can be kept to a minimum. Also, the quality and resources of conducting the examination can be maintained.

Know why there was an increase.
According to the Central Board of Secondary Education, no change has been made in the examination fee since the year 2020. Anyway, the expenses of the board have increased manifold. Registration and examination fees are the main source of income of the board, from which examination organisation and other expenses are met. Receipts of the migration certificate have also been stopped from the year 2024-25.
This has also ended the source of additional income. CBSE said that the increase in fees can be reviewed every year. Changes can be made according to financial requirements and expenses.
