The responsibility of creating and handling this new and advanced IT system has been given to the country’s three leading IT companies, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, and Wipro. The purpose of this big step is to make the services of EPFO faster, efficient, and reliable than ever before. Information about this has been given in a circular issued on 12 August 2025, which is a great gift for millions of members.
What new features will be available in EPFO 3.0
Under EPFO 3.0, many such facilities are being introduced, which will make the lives of employees and pensioners very easy. Now the claim settlement will be done through a completely automated system. This will eliminate the hassle of the manual process, and claims will be settled very fast.

Online account details update
Now there is no need to go to the EPFO office to update information like name and date of birth. You will be able to make these changes online from home with the new app, which will save both time and effort.
PF withdrawal from the ATM
After the claim is approved, members will be able to withdraw money from their PF account through an ATM, just like bank transactions. This facility will make PF withdrawal much easier and convenient.
OTP verification
The old form-based process will now be replaced by OTP (One Time Password) based verification. Any change related to the account will be confirmed only through OTP, which will increase security and reduce the possibility of fraud.
Better pension service
Under EPS 1995, EPFO has approved the Centralized Pension Payment System (CPPS). With this new system, pensioners will be able to withdraw their pension from any branch of any bank in the country, which will increase transparency and convenience.
