Moto G86 Power 5G is fueled by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chip, accompanied by an octa-core processor with a 2.6GHz clock speed. It features 8GB RAM and 8GB of virtual RAM, so multitasking is possible. The internal storage capacity is capped at 128GB but expandable to 1TB via a hybrid memory card.

Conversely, Nothing Phone 2a runs on MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro with the octa-core 2.8GHz processor. It also has 8GB RAM but no expandable storage and relies instead on 128GB of internal storage. Although Nothing’s processor is a fraction faster, Moto has the advantage of expandable storage.

Display and Battery

Both of the phones come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen and a 120Hz refresh rate. Moto G86 Power 5G comes with a relatively higher-end resolution of 1220×2712 pixels with HDR10+, 10-bit depth color, and Display Color Boost for richer colors. Nothing Phone 2a comes with 1084×2412 resolution with 1300 nits peak, 240Hz touch sampling, and always-on display support.

In battery life, Moto takes a huge lead with a ginormous 6720mAh cell and 33W TurboPower fast charging. Nothing Phone 2a only provides a smaller 5000mAh cell, but with quicker charging at 45W and even 5W reverse charging.

Moto G86 Power 5G vs Nothing Phone 2a Camera

Moto G86 Power 5G comes equipped with a 50MP + 8MP OIS dual rear camera with dual LED flash and an OIS-supported 32MP front-facing camera backed by a Sony LYTIA 600 sensor. It also records video at 1080p at 60fps.

Nothing Phone 2a, nonetheless, has a starting advantage in camera configuration with dual 50MP back cameras, which feature Samsung GN9 and ISOCELL JN1 sensors. It also allows 4K quality recording at 30fps, along with a 32MP front camera. Camera resolution-wise, Nothing Phone 2a leads with superior sensors and 4K support.

Price of the Devices

Moto G86 Power 5G has also had its price reduced by 9% to ₹16,498 recently on Amazon. It is a budget buy for consumers who want a high-performance phone at a low price.

Nothing Phone 2a, on the other hand, increased its price by 18% over the last month, and the price is now ₹24,999 on Amazon. Although it has an improved camera and performance features, it falls under the premium segment.
