Asus ROG Phone 9 was officially announced and released globally on November 19, 2024, and it is expected to launch soon in the Indian market in mid-2026. However, any official launch date has not been announced yet. The phone is anticipated to be priced around ₹84,990 for the base variant in India, though international pricing starts around ₹66,930 to ₹79,700, which varies widely depending on the retailer and model.

Camera Setup and Battery Pack

In the rear section of Asus ROG Phone 9, it features a triple camera system which includes a 50MP main sensor with 6-axis hybrid gimbal stabilisation 4.0 OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP macro lens. Whereas, in front, it has a 32MP selfie camera with an RGBW sensor for enhanced low-light performance. Apart from that, the phone features a large 5800mAh battery pack with support for 65W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging, and it also supports 10W reverse wired and wireless charging.

Asus ROG Phone 9 features a large 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a ground-breaking 185Hz refresh rate, and it gets up to 2500 nits peak brightness. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The phone also has an aluminium frame, glass front, glass back, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It includes customisable ultrasonic AirTriggers, the advanced GameCool 9 thermal system, and an AniMe Vision customisable mini-LED display on the back.

Performance

The phone provides exceptional performance while gaming, as it is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which features the Oryon CPU, enhanced Adreno 830 GPU, and an AI-dedicated NPU. The phone is available in configurations up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage, and it does not support expandable storage. The phone is launched with Android 15 with the ROG UI skin, which includes AI-powered gaming features like X Sense and AI Grabber.
