
FD Rates Interest: Big news for everyone. Following the Reserve Bank of India’s 25 basis points hike in the repo rate, there is positive news for fixed deposit (FD) investors. Senior citizens can now expect up to 8.15% annual interest on FDs.
Bajaj Finance has also enhanced the additional interest benefit for senior citizens from 0.35% to 0.40% per annum. The interest rates for different tenures are as follows:
– 31 to 60 months: Senior citizens will earn 8.15% per annum.
– 18 to 30 months: Senior citizens will receive 7.40% per annum.
– 12 to 17 months: The rate for this short-term FD is now 7.20% per annum.

For general depositors, interest rates have been raised by 15 to 35 bps across all tenors:
– 31 to 60 months FD: General customers will now enjoy a return of 7.75% per annum.
– 18 to 30 months FD: The rate has increased to 7.00% per annum.
– 12 to 17 months FD: The interest rate has been adjusted to 6.80% per annum.
Existing customers renewing their FDs will receive an additional bonus of 0.10% per annum.
Bajaj Finance has introduced a ‘Renewal Bonus’ for loyal customers. By renewing old matured FDs with the company, customers will earn an extra 0.10% interest per annum:
– Senior Citizens (Renewal): 8.25% per annum on FDs for 31 to 60 months.
– General Customers (Renewal): 7.85% per annum on FDs for 31 to 60 months.

For those seeking monthly pension payments, the non-cumulative option is the most suitable:
– Monthly Pay-out: Senior citizens will receive 7.86% per annum (7.96% on renewal) every month on FDs of 31 to 60 months.
– Monthly Pay-out: Regular investors will earn 7.49% per annum on FDs of 31 to 60 months.
