Pakistan Declares Salman Khan ‘Terrorist – Recently, Bollywood’s “Bhaijaan” Salman Khan, speaking at an event in Abu Dhabi, created a stir on social media and sparked a major controversy. According to reports, Salman’s statement sparked widespread anger in Pakistan, leading to reports that he had been included in the Fourth Schedule of Pakistan’s Anti-Terrorism Act (1997).
Did Pakistan really declare Salman Khan a “terrorist”?
What was claimed? Reports stated that the Balochistan Home Department issued a notification on October 16, 2025, naming Salman Khan as the “Azad Balochistan Facilitator,” and adding him to the Fourth Schedule of the Anti-Terrorism Act. What is the truth? Several media reports, such as India Today and others, have questioned the veracity of this news.
He stated that the notification circulating on social media is suspicious and its authenticity has not been verified. No credible Pakistani media or government source has officially confirmed that Salman Khan has been placed on the watch list. Therefore, reports of Salman Khan being officially declared a terrorist may be false or fabricated.
What is the ‘4th Schedule’? In Pakistan, this list is typically used to monitor individuals suspected of involvement in terrorism or links with extremist organizations. Appearances on this list increase the risk of strict surveillance, travel restrictions, and legal action.
What exactly did Salman Khan say?
The entire matter began at the ‘Joy Forum 2025’ event in Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, where the three Khans—Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Aamir Khan—were present together. They were discussing the growing popularity of Indian cinema in the Middle East. Speaking about the South Asian communities living in the Middle East, Salman Khan had said:
“Right now, if you release a Hindi film here (in Saudi Arabia), it will be a superhit. If you make a Tamil, Telugu, or Malayalam film, it will do business worth hundreds of crores because so many people from other countries have come here. There are people from Balochistan, people from Afghanistan, people from Pakistan… everyone is working here.”

Why did the controversy arise?
Many people and officials in Pakistan objected to Salman Khan’s statement. They believed that Salman Khan’s mention of Balochistan as a separate entity from Pakistan was seen as an attack on Pakistan’s territorial integrity.
This statement quickly went viral on social media, and political implications began to be drawn from it. Some journalists and social media users also drew deeper meaning from his statement, leading to rumors that the Pakistani government had taken action against him.
