Ameesha Patel Wedding Performance to Legal Trouble – Gadar fame actress Ameesha Patel is once again in the headlines for her legal troubles, more than her films. A Moradabad court in Uttar Pradesh has issued a non-bailable warrant against the actress in an old case. But this time, Ameesha didn’t sit back; she took to social media to defend herself and level serious allegations against the complainant.
What’s the whole matter?
This controversy isn’t recent, but dates back to 2017. Let’s find out what happened:
Allegation: Moradabad event organizer Pawan Verma filed a complaint alleging that Ameesha was paid an advance of ₹14.50 lakh to perform at a wedding.
Claim of fraud: Pawan claims Ameesha didn’t attend the wedding. When asked for the money back, he returned ₹10 lakh in cash, but a cheque for ₹4.50 lakh bounced.
Court’s tough stance: Due to repeated failures to appear, the Moradabad court has now issued a warrant against him.
Ameesha’s strong response: “My lawyers will expose him.”
Ameesha expressed her views in a lengthy note on her Instagram story. She clearly stated that this was an attempt to defame her. Highlights of Ameesha’s statement:
Settlement has been done: Ameesha claims that Pawan Verma had already signed the settlement deed and received the full amount.

False allegations: The actress said that the case is years old and is being dragged out unnecessarily.
Legal action: Ameesha has warned that her lawyers will now file a fraud case against Pawan Verma.
“I want to focus on my work and ignore those who create a spectacle just for publicity.” – Ameesha Patel
The case is currently in court, and Ameesha’s stance suggests she’s not about to give in. It remains to be seen how her lawyers can disprove Pawan Verma’s claims in court.
