Recently, Tannishtha revealed in a heart-touching social media post that she has been diagnosed with stage 4 oligo metastatic breast cancer. She has even shaved her head to fight this battle, surprising everyone with her courage. In her post, she thanked her family and friends for their constant support in this challenging journey.

‘It’s not just pain…’

Tannishtha said that the last eight months have been the most difficult of her life. She had lost her father to cancer some time ago, and soon after that, she herself was diagnosed with the same disease. She wrote, “I found out eight months ago that I am suffering from stage 4 oligo metastatic cancer.

This post of mine is not about pain – it is about courage and love. I have the responsibility of a 70-year-old mother and a 9-year-old daughter on my shoulders, and that is what bothers me the most. But the unwavering support of my family and friends has given me the strength to fight this battle.”

She further added that the kindness, presence and affection of her loved ones has kept her alive and helped her put a smile on her face even in the toughest moments. She also thanked her friends and actresses Dia Mirza and Vidya Balan for their encouragement and support.
