Gold Rate Today: Gold and silver prices continue to fluctuate. In recent days, prices of both gold and silver have declined.
However, gold remains significantly cheaper than its all-time high. It is currently trading at a discount of approximately ₹55,000 compared to its record peak. Meanwhile, on the MCX, gold prices fell today to ₹144,100 per 10 grams. On the international front, gold and silver prices declined sharply on Monday, March 30.
The ongoing conflict between the US and Iran has entered its fifth week. According to Bloomberg, largely due to this pressure, gold fell by approximately 1.38% today to $4,462 per ounce, while silver dropped by 2% to $68.3 per ounce.
MCX Gold Rate
As the MCX opened today, the contract with a June 5th expiry declined by ₹868 and is currently trading at ₹146,387 per 10 grams. At the end of the trading week on Friday, it had closed with a slight gain at ₹147,270 per 10 grams.
IBJA Gold Rate
Gold and silver prices rose on March 30. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold rose by ₹3,000 to reach ₹1.46 lakh. Simultaneously, the price of one kilogram of silver increased by ₹6,000 to reach ₹2.28 lakh. As per the IBJA, 995-purity gold remains steady at ₹145,631 per 10 grams. Furthermore, the rate for 916-purity gold stands at ₹133,935 per tola. Additionally, the price of 750-purity gold is ₹109,663 per 10 grams.
