UP TGT exam city slip declared: Millions of candidates dream of becoming teachers today. If you live in Uttar Pradesh and are preparing for the teacher recruitment exam, there’s some big news for you. The Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission (UPESSC) will conduct the UP TGT Recruitment Exam 2026 on June 3rd and 4th, 2026. Candidates appearing for the UP TGT exam can download their exam city slips through the official website, upessc.up.gov.in. A total of 3,539 TGT positions will be filled through this exam.
To download the exam city slip, candidates will need their name, registration number, and date of birth.
How many candidates will appear for the exam?
Approximately 8.68 lakh candidates have applied for this recruitment. The UP TGT Recruitment Exam will be held on June 3rd and 4th, 2026. The exam will be held at 614 examination centres across 36 districts of the state.
How to download the UP TGT exam city slip?
Must visit the official website: pessc.up.gov.in
Click on the ‘NOTICE BOARD’ section located on the homepage.
Click on the link titled ‘GT 01/2022 (Date-wise, Subject-wise, and Shift-wise)’.
Enter your login credentials.
Once you have entered your login details, the Exam City Slip will appear on your screen.
Finally, download the Exam City and take a printout for future use.

How many shifts will the exam be in?
The TGT exam will be held on June 3 and 4. The exam will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will run from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. The second shift will run from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
When will the admit card be released?
The admit card for the exam will be released on May 30, 2026. Students appearing for the exam can obtain their hall ticket by visiting the official website. Candidates will need to submit their login credentials to download the admit card. Candidates are advised to ensure they bring their admit card to the exam centre, as they will not be permitted to appear for the exam without it.
