UP Board 2026 Update – Steps to Download Admit Card, Shift Timings and Prohibited Items

UP Board Exam 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education will conduct Class 10 and Class 12 board exams starting February 18th. Admit cards for the exams have also been released by the board. Over 5.3 million students will appear for the exams. School principals/headmasters will distribute admit cards to students after downloading them through their school login IDs.

If you are appearing for the UP Board Class 10 and 12 board exams, you must first have your admit card. It must also be accompanied by a valid photo ID, such as an Aadhaar card or school ID. Candidates without an admit card will not be allowed to take the exam. You must also carry a transparent pen-pencil pouch that can hold pens, pencils, a transparent scale, a compass, a sharpener, and an eraser. Students are advised to bring a transparent water bottle.

What should not be brought into the examination hall?
Students are prohibited from bringing calculators, electrical devices, mobile phones, or smartwatches to the examination centre. It should be noted that for board exams, students are advised to arrive at examination centres approximately one hour before the scheduled start time. The gates are then closed. However, if students are late for any reason, they may be allowed to enter the examination centre up to 30 minutes before the exam starts. However, students who arrive more than 15 minutes late will not be allowed to enter the examination hall under any circumstances.

Exam Date and Time
High school and intermediate examinations will begin on February 18th and continue until March 12th. The total time for each paper is 3 hours and 15 minutes.

The first 15 minutes will be devoted solely to reading the question paper. Disabled and visually impaired candidates will be given an additional 20 minutes per hour in addition to the allotted time.

Enter your school login ID and password here.
Your admit card will appear on your screen.
Now, download the admit card and take a printout.

Online Guidance Session for Students
A state-level online YouTube session will also be held on Saturday at 10:30 am for students appearing for the board exams. This session will be chaired by Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary of the Secondary Education Department. Students will be advised on subject-wise preparation, time management, and ways to deal with exam stress.
