How will candidates qualify?
The NTA conducted the UGC NET exam across 85 subjects. Candidates will qualify under three categories, and the cut-off will be determined separately for each category. In the first category, candidates will be eligible for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) and appointment as Assistant Professor. In the second category, candidates will be considered qualified for Assistant Professor and PhD admission. The third category will grant eligibility for PhD admission.
Cut-off will also be released along with the result
A slight change in the UGC NET cut-off is expected this time. Considering the number of subjects and the difficulty level of the question paper, separate cut-off lists will be released for different categories (General, OBC, SC, ST). The cut-off for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) is usually 5-10% higher than the eligibility criteria for Assistant Professor. After the UGC NET results are declared, e-certificates will also be made available through DigiLocker or the official website.
