UGC NET June 2025 Answer Key : The NTA shall very soon be releasing a provisional answer key for the UGC NET June 2025 Examinations. The answer key would be available for the candidates along with their recorded answers and the question papers from the official NTA UGC NET site- ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The examination was held as a computer-based test across multiple test centers nationally, conducted in two shifts daily from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The candidates should visit the official UGC NET website to search for the answer key as soon as the answer key is published. The link for the provisional answer key will be available on the home page, which says ‘UGC NET June 2025 Provisional Answer Key.’ After doing so, the candidate logs in through Application Number, Date of Birth, and Captcha code. Upon logging in, the candidate can download the answer key provisionally with the Response Sheets and Question Papers. The answer key after download should help candidates in self-evaluation and in reaching rough scoring.
Challenging Procedures
The candidates may challenge the answer key if they feel that the answer key is wrong. For this, a candidate will log in to select the question(s) intended for the challenge and pay a non-refundable fee of ₹200 for each question with the submission of documentary proof or valid argument supporting its challenge, without which the challenge will not be deemed valid. This procedure must be carried out within the time period specified for that purpose. The NTA shall entertain all properly submitted claims made within the timeline for consideration in the making of the Final Answer Key. The computation of result declaration shall be on the basis of this Final Answer Key.
Structure and Pattern of Marks in the UGC NET Examination:
The UGC NET exam consists of two papers, of which the first is general teaching and research aptitude, and the second is subject-specific. Both papers contain multiple choice questions, awarding 2 marks for every correct answer, while there is no negative marking; in case any question is found incorrect or cancelled, all who attempted it shall be awarded full marks. Conducting widespread examination for more than 80 subjects, it thus becomes one of the largest eligibility tests held for lectureship and research in India.
What Next After the Answer Key?
First, the NTA would release the provisional answer key and allow the window for challenges. The UGC-NET June 2025 Results would then be declared based on the final answer key. Therefore, candidates should keep checking the official website frequently regarding dates concerning the announcement of the result and release of scorecards. The answer key provides transparency and the self-evaluation of their performance to the candidates beforehand.
