School Closed: A severe cold wave has gripped North India. Dense fog is being observed in many districts. Winter holidays have begun even before December 25th. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted rain and snowfall in the hilly states due to the influence of a Western Disturbance. Light rain is also expected in the plains. Due to the cold, all schools have been closed in several districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Schools Closed in These UP Districts: Due to the sudden increase in cold, all schools in 16 districts of Uttar Pradesh have been closed. District Magistrates have issued these orders. In accordance with the DM’s orders, all schools will remain closed on December 20th. December 21st is a Sunday. Schools will reopen on December 22nd. However, the holiday schedule will vary in different districts. In some districts, orders have been issued to keep schools closed up to class 8, while in others, up to class 12. School timings have also been changed in some districts.

According to the DM’s orders, holidays have been declared in schools in 16 districts: Bareilly, Kanpur, Kanpur Dehat, Jaunpur, Auraiya, Orai, Hardoi, Rampur, Sambhal, Budaun, Kasganj, Gonda, Pilibhit, Ambedkar Nagar, and Shahjahanpur.

Schools Closed in Ambedkar Nagar: In the Ambedkar Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, orders have been issued to close schools from nursery through class 12 until December 24th.

School Holidays in Raebareli: According to the order, all schools from pre-primary to class 8, including government, aided, and recognised schools of all boards, will remain closed on December 22nd and 23rd in Raebareli.

School Timings Changed in Jhansi: Jhansi District Magistrate Mridul Chaudhary has revised school timings due to cold weather. The school timings for all students from classes 1 to 8 have now been changed to 10 AM to 3 PM. Schools closed up to class 8 in nine districts.

District Magistrates in eight districts have issued orders to keep schools closed up to class 8. These districts include Rampur, Bareilly, Gonda, Hathras, Shahjahanpur, Pilibhit, Jaunpur, Kasganj, and Budaun. In addition, the timings of several schools have been changed. The school timings for classes 1 to 8 have been changed to 10 AM to 3 PM.
