The Meteorological Department had issued a red alert on Monday regarding heavy rains, after which a holiday was declared in all schools and colleges of the metropolis. Due to heavy rains on Monday, the roads in many areas were waterlogged. After heavy rains, the streets in many places were flooded. The Meteorological Department had issued an orange alert in various districts of the Konkan region of Maharashtra, including Mumbai.
