School Closed:- Floods and continuous heavy rains have caused havoc in many states across the country. Life has become chaotic due to heavy rains. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert due to heavy rains in many states across the country and has also advised people to exercise caution. On the other hand, it has been decided to keep schools and colleges closed in many cities of the states affected by floods and rains. Along with many districts of UP, schools have also been closed in Punjab, Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir states.

Instructions have been taken to keep schools closed in many districts of Uttar Pradesh. The district administrations of Ghaziabad, Noida, Baghpat, Bulandshahr, and Gautam Buddha Nagar had ordered all schools to be closed on September 3. This instruction applies to government, private, aided, and board-affiliated institutions.
School holiday in Punjab
Due to continuous rains in Punjab, there is havoc. In such a situation, the Punjab government has extended the closure date of all schools, colleges, universities, and other educational institutions until September 7 due to floods in the entire area caused by heavy rains.
Posting on the social media platform x, Education Minister Harjot Bains has said that As directed by Hon’ble CM Punjab Sh. Bhagwant Singh Mann Ji, in view of the flood situation, all Govt/Aided/Recognized & Private Schools, Colleges, Universities & Polytechnics across Punjab will remain closed till 7th Sept 2025.
Everyone is requested to follow the instructions issued by the local administration fully.”
Schools have been closed since August 27 due to heavy rains in Punjab, while on Tuesday, the government announced to keep colleges and universities closed till Wednesday (September 3). All educational institutions have been closed until September 7.

On September 5, 2025, Teachers’ Day will also be celebrated alongside the festivals of Onam and Eid-e-Milad. In such a situation, it is being speculated that school holidays may be extended. However, the decision to extend the holidays will be implemented only after the district administration issues its order. Students are advised to check for updates periodically.
CA exam also postponed in Punjab and Jammu Kashmir
Due to floods in Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir, the CA Final and Intermediate exams have been postponed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). In the remaining states, the exams will be conducted as per schedule. The dates for these states will be announced as soon as the situation improves.
