: Big news has emerged for lakhs of candidates in Haryana preparing to become teachers. The Board of School Education, Haryana () has announced the examination dates for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2026. According to media reports, the HTET examination will be conducted on June 13 and 14, 2026. The examination will be held in offline mode and will be conducted in two shifts.

This time, approximately 245,000 candidates from across the state are expected to appear for the HTET examination. A total of 820 examination centers have been established throughout Haryana. Strict security arrangements have also been put in place at all these centers.

Exam 2026
According to Board officials, the HTET examination was originally scheduled for January-February 2026; however, it was postponed for administrative reasons. The Board has now decided to conduct the examination in June. Once again, a large number of candidates have applied for the examination this year. Candidates are advised to keep a close watch on the official BSEH website, bseh.org.in, for the latest updates regarding the examination. The admit cards for the examination will also be released very soon.

Three-Tier Examination
The HTET examination will be conducted across three levels. Level I is conducted for candidates who wish to teach classes 1 through 5. Level-II is intended for candidates aspiring to become teachers for classes 6 through 8, while Level-III is conducted for PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) candidates.

HTET Examination Schedule
According to the schedule released by the BSEH, the Level-III (PGT) examination will be held on June 13, from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Meanwhile, the Level-II (TGT) examination will be conducted on June 14, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The Level-I (PRT) examination is scheduled for June 14, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM. The Board has stated that the ‘Information Bulletin’ regarding the examination will be uploaded to the official website shortly.

What are the Eligibility Criteria?

Candidates applying for Level-I (PRT) posts must have passed Class 12 and hold a Diploma in Education (D.Ed.). Meanwhile, applicants for Level-II (TGT) posts must hold a Bachelor’s degree and a B.Ed. qualification, whereas for Level-III (PGT) candidates, a Master’s degree accompanied by a B.Ed. Qualification is mandatory.
