Vivo has officially set the stage for its upcoming summer launch moment, and it has, in a pretty straightforward way, confirmed the arrival of the S60 series that everybody has been waiting for. The lineup, with both the regular Vivo S60 and the more budget friendly Vivo S60 Vitality Edition, has already shown up across big retail platforms for pre-orders. This new generation wants to completely redo what “mid range value” means, by not really compromising on durability or advanced biometric features. And instead of leaving stronger protection as a thing only for higher priced Pro tiers, Vivo is basically opening that up to more people, so it can take a direct shot at its smartphone rivals.

Vivo S60 Series: Leaked Specifications and Features

The real, headline kind of thing for the fresh Vivo S60 lineup is that huge 7,200mAh Blue Ocean silicon-anode battery. Even with a capacity this big, Vivo managed to keep the whole build really slim and tight, like an unibody form that’s only 7.92mm thick and about 207 grams in hand, so it still feels light enough. To match all that power reserve, the phones also bring 90W flash charging that should get you back up pretty quick, basically in a matter of minutes, if you plug it in.

Now, when you look under the hood, the regular Vivo S60 uses the high-performance Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 platform together with an Adreno 735 graphics unit. On the software side, the lineup moves over to Android 16, then layers on Vivo’s polished OriginOS 6 experience right from the start. And the screen situation is pretty premium too, using a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and that deep contrast vibe, which tends to be great for everyday multimedia streaming, and also for mobile gaming that wants higher frames.

For photos on the go, the standard model comes with an advanced triple camera arrangement on the rear, led by a 50MP main sensor. It’s also expected to feel notably different from older versions, mainly because there’s likely a dedicated Sony IMX8-series periscope telephoto lens in the mix, so you can grab sharper optical zoom shots. Up front, you get a 50MP selfie shooter with autofocus too, so the experience is more reliable, especially for close-ups.

Storage Variants and Expected India Pricing

The Vivo S60 series will basically show some clear gap between its RAM and storage combos, like it’s meant for different pockets, yk. The normal version goes all the way up to a kind of premium 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage situation, but the Vitality Edition feels like it cuts costs in a smoother way, starting from a lower baseline setup. For the global market, which includes India, the entry level variant is widely expected to debut as an 8GB RAM 128GB storage model, so the price stays pretty competitive.

For local pricing, the lowest tier with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is estimated to land around ₹28,999 once it actually shows up in India. The in between model, with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is projected to retail close to ₹32,999. Meanwhile the mid-tier option with 12GB RAM plus 512GB storage should arrive around ₹36,500. Then, at the very top, the flagship model with 16GB RAM along with 512GB storage is expected to be priced at roughly ₹41,999.
