GATE 2026 Answer Key: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) was conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026, at designated exam centres. The exam was held in two shifts. This time, the exam was conducted in computer-based test mode and consisted of 30 papers. Candidates were given three hours to solve each paper. After the exam, IIT Guwahati will release the provisional answer key. Following the previous pattern, the answer key was released 10 days after the exam. Therefore, the answer key is expected to be released in the last week of February. However, official information has not yet been shared.

After the answer key is released, candidates can compare their answers to it and assess their performance to estimate their results. If a candidate is not satisfied with any of the answers provided, they may raise an objection within the stipulated time.

Once the GATE 2026 answer key is released, visit the official website, gate2026.iitg.ac.in, first.
Click on Application Login on the website’s home page.
Enter your Enrollment ID/Email Address, Password, and the provided code and click the LOGIN button.
The answer key will then open on the screen, allowing you to download and verify it.
You will also be able to submit objections to the answer key through login.

When will the result be released?
According to the official website, the GATE 2026 exam results will be declared on March 19, 2026. The result will be declared based on the final answer key. Candidates are advised to visit the official website regularly for the latest updates related to the exam.

Objection Window and Fees
You may have to pay Rs 500 for each objection. Only valid objections will be considered before the final answer key is released. The GATE 2026 exam was held on February 7, 8, and 14. The exam will also be held today for several engineering and science subjects.
