CUET UG Result 2025 Declared Soon : On July 4, 2025, the National Testing Agency (NTA) had officially announced the CUET UG 2025. Results notifications are out for students who enrolled for the undergraduate Common University Entrance Test (CUET) while the students may check and download their results from the https://cuet-nta-nic.in site. Above 13 lakh students appeared for the computer test that was held across the nation from May 15-May 29 in different shifts.

How to Download their Score Card for CUET UG 2025

To download the scorecard, the candidates have to log in using the application number and date of birth on the official NTA portal. The NTA scorecards will contain marks obtained, along with percentile, subject-wise marks total score, and NTA normalized scores, etc. The results depend on the final answer key that was released by the NTA on July 1, 2025.

Questions Dropped and Full Marks Awarded

According to the official update, 27 questions were dropped by the NTA, considering the challenges raised by the candidates regarding the answers to given questions. Those questions were deemed to have been vague in their statements or incorrect in their options for the answers. Candidates will be awarded full marks for the dropped questions. Moreover, any candidates who selected any of the answers that were considered to be “correct” to said questions will also be compensated with some benefit in scores.

Scoring Process and Normalization

The CUET UG entrance examination was a multiple-choice model where 5 marks were awarded for any correct response attempted and 1 mark was deducted from each incorrect answer. There is no negative marking for unattempted questions. In this case, the exercise was done in different shifts; thus, normalization has been implemented by the NTA. Raw scores are standardized to offset differences in difficulty level from uneven shifts.

No Rechecking Policy?

NTA has declared issuance of CUET UG results, without any further checks or re-evaluation. Final results generated will be based on the final answer key. If a particular candidate is found guilty by means of fraud activity, like impersonation or exam from wrong centre, their results would be cancelled without prior notification.

Topper List And Score Validity

NTA is expected to release the list of toppers in the CUET UG 2025 examination shortly after announcing the result. For the academic session 2025-26 only, admissions based on these results will be valid. The shortlisted candidates need to keep a copy of their scorecard for the admission to the participating universities.

What Will Happen After the Result?

The announcement of results will be followed by every university announcing its cut off marks, merit lists, and admission schedules. Unlike many other national exams, CUET doesn’t have a centralized council. Each university has a separate admission process linked to the CUET score. The rounds of counseling for Delhi University (DU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) will be held in July-August 2025.
