How to view Class 10 12 answer sheets of CBSE: Students all over India who took the CBSE 10th and 12th exams are waiting with bated breath for their results. Since there are still assessments being conducted, the board is likely to declare the results soon. In the meanwhile, a new policy will enable disgruntled students to view their answer sheets online, and hence, the result scrutiny process shall be more transparent.
Result Date Likely in May End
Although CBSE has not issued any official notice of result date, following past trends, results are normally announced by the end of May. Results were announced on 13 May in 2024, 12 May in 2023, and 22 July in 2022. After declaration, students can find their results on visiting the website of CBSE at cbse.gov.in. This year, Class 10 exams were held between 15 February and 18 March, and Class 12 exams took place from 5 February to 4 April.
How to View Answer Sheets Online
CBSE has brought in a system through which students unhappy with their marks can see their answer sheets online. Students can apply for this facility after the results are declared and see their subject-wise assessment. A special link will be provided for this. Students will have to give an application and pay ₹500 per subject to see their answer sheets.
Photocopy Option for Detailed Review
Along with seeing answer sheets online, students will also have the facility to get a photocopy of their assessed sheets. They need to apply and pay a subject-wise fee—₹700 for Class 10 and ₹500 for Class 12. The photocopies will be made available within 15 days of application, enabling students to see the assessment and decide on further revaluation procedures if necessary.
Revaluation Application Process
After a student checks their answer sheet and feels the marks given are not justified, they can then go ahead to apply for revaluation. The board provides a platform where students can ask for a re-check of certain answers. The process of revaluation is, however, only applicable after checking the original answer sheet and is subject to terms provided by CBSE.
Why This Initiative Matters for Students
The fresh transparency in displaying answer sheets is intended to enhance empowerment of students and minimize apprehension around result announcements. This step encourages accountability in the marking process and empowers students to take another step, either revaluation or accepting scores.
