E-Shram Update: The central government runs numerous schemes aimed at improving the financial well-being of the country’s citizens. Among these is a special initiative for workers in the unorganised sector, called the E-Shram Card scheme. This card provides financial assistance to labourers and workers employed in the unorganised sector.
The E-Shram Card contains both the personal details of the worker and information regarding their occupation. If you have changed your job or have started a different line of work, it is essential to update your occupation details on the E-Shram portal.
You do not need to visit any government office for this; the entire process can be completed online from the comfort of your home using your Android phone. Let’s look at how you can update your occupation details in this article.
Why is it important to update your occupation on the E-Shram Card?
The E-Shram Card stores information about a worker’s skills. If you have left your previous job and started a new one, it is crucial to update this information. Doing so ensures that the records regarding your current occupation remain accurate, which can also help you utilise your information for government schemes or employment-related services.
