DA Hike Update: This month, the central government raised the DA for employees from 60 percent to 63 percent. This 3 percent increase was implemented just before Diwali. Following suit, the Rajasthan government has also decided to increase the DA and DR for state employees. With this approval, employees in Rajasthan will now enjoy a dearness allowance of 63 percent. This change will positively impact over 7 lakh government employees and pensioners who have served for more than 5 years.
Rajasthan Government Hikes Dearness Allowance
The Bhajan Lal government has not only approved the DA and DR but also a Diwali bonus for ad hoc employees. These measures will add an extra Rs 1,226 crore to the state’s financial obligations.
Diwali Bonus for Ad-Hoc Employees
The Bhajan Lal government has sanctioned both DA and DR increases, along with a Diwali bonus for ad hoc employees. This decision will raise the state’s expenditure by Rs 406 crore.
When Will the Increased DA Be Received?
State employees can expect to see the 63 percent DA reflected in their November salaries. This means the increase will be visible in the payments made in December. The DA adjustment pertains to the July cycle, and the increased amount from July 1st to October will be credited to the employee’s GPF account.
