RCB VS CSK: In the 18th session of IPL, a thrilling battle was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings. The result of the match was in favour of RCB, as it won the game with incredible difficulty. On some occasions, it seemed that RCB would lose this match easily, but the brilliant bowling and batting turned the tables.
A time in the match brought back memories of IPL 2024. There were moments when RCB captain Rajat Patidar handed over the last over to Yash Dayal, then this would not be a new thing for him, because this sight was also seen in the previous IPL session: the same opponent, the same ground and the same batsman on strike, i.e. SS Dhoni. In 2024, Dayal had to save 17 runs, but this time he had to save two fewer runs, 15.
How was Yash Dayal’s last over?
For Yash Dayal, bowling the last over against CSK became one of the most memorable moments. On Saturday, when the previous over was given to captain Yashdal, there were many questions in everyone’s minds. Dhoni hit a six on the first ball, while Dayal kept his composure. On the second ball of the last over, he took another run off Jadeja.
Then came the decisive turn, Dayal dismissed Dhoni on the third ball and turned the entire match in RCB’s favour. When Shivam Dubey came to play on the wicket, 13 runs would be scored off the last three balls. Yash Dayal bowled a no-ball, which gave Dubey a free hit. Shivam Dubey hit a six off the free hit ball.
Then the equation of the entire match changed completely. Six runs were needed off three balls to win. Only six runs were needed off three balls, and Dayal kept his composure. He gave one run to Dubey on the fourth ball, and Jadeja could not impact the last ball, so he took one run.
