Women in Delhi have enjoyed free bus travel, but the pink ticket system for this will soon be phased out. Moving forward, women will need to adapt to new regulations. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured a majority by defeating the Aam Aadmi Party in the 2025 assembly elections, marking their return to power after 27 years. Rekha Gupta has been appointed as the Chief Minister of Delhi by the BJP.

During her address, she remarked, “The previous administration was involved in a pink ticket scam under the guise of providing free travel for women.”
