How to download masked Aadhaar card?

First of all, visit the official website of UIDAI (myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in).

Click on the “Login” option on the website.

Enter your Aadhaar number and captcha correctly.

An OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked with your Aadhaar.

After this it has to be entered.

Once logged in, click on “Download Aadhaar” option.

While downloading, click on “Masked Aadhaar” option.

The downloaded masked Aadhaar will have the last four digits of your Aadhaar number hidden, thereby increasing your security.

 

It is not necessary to give the full Aadhaar number

Masked Aadhaar can only be used for identity verification and Aadhaar card cannot be used for any other purpose. If it becomes necessary for you to give your full Aadhaar number to any institution, then you should be careful. Also, the Aadhaar card number should be shared only with a reliable source. With the help of masked Aadhaar card, you can strengthen Aadhaar security.

Every Aadhaar card has a unique 12 digit code. This unique digit code comes with biometric identification.
