Work will be done in the nearest Aadhaar center

To change or update your photo on your Aadhaar card, you will have to go to the nearest Aadhaar centre. You can download Form 1, the form required to change your photo in the Aadhaar card, from UIDAI’s website uidai.gov.in. Take a hard copy of this form and fill it without any mistake. Then submit the form to the nearest Aadhaar Enrollment Center or Aadhaar Service Center. If you want, you can also go directly to the Aadhaar Enrollment Center and get Form 1 and fill it.

Biometric details will have to be given

Then you will have to provide your biometric information. Your fingerprint and iris will be scanned. After the biometric is confirmed, your live photo will be taken. This photo will be replaced with the old photo.

How much will it cost?

To change your photo in the Aadhaar card, you will have to pay a fee of Rs 100. Your photo on the Aadhaar card will not change immediately. It takes a few days for this. While updating the photo at the Aadhaar centre, you will be given a slip along with the URN. This slip will have a number and a link through which you can track your application status. Once the photo is updated, you can download your Aadhaar card by visiting the UIDAI website.
