From Wednesday, the railway has extended the scope of the Vande Bharat Express, which runs between Meerut City and Lucknow, to Varanasi station. It will run from Lucknow to Varanasi via Ayodhya Dham. It will cover a distance of 783 km during its approximately 12-hour journey.
The 22490/22489 Vande Bharat Express train, which runs between Meerut City Station and Lucknow, will now extend its route to Banaras. 783 km journey
Earlier this train used to cover a distance of 459 km. But now two more stations have been included in the journey of this train, after which it will now travel up to 783 km. This train will operate every day.
Vande Bharat Express train will depart from Meerut City Station daily at 6:35 am. It will reach Lucknow at 1:45 pm via Hapur, Moradabad, and Bareilly. With its extension, it will reach Ayodhya Dham Junction at 3:53 p.m. and Varanasi Junction at 6:25 p.m. This train will depart from Varanasi at 9:10 am and arrive in Ayodhya at 11:40 am. The train will reach Lucknow at 1:40 pm. It will reach Meerut City Station at 9:05 pm via Bareilly, Moradabad and Hapur.

The fare of AC Chair Car (CC) is Rs 2140, while the fare of Executive Chair Car (EC) has been fixed at Rs 3765.
