The government has decided to completely digitize this scheme. The objective is to provide timely and hassle-free financial assistance to the affected family after an accident.
Digitization to be Completed by February 2026

According to the government, the digitization of the scheme will be completed by February 2026. After this, in case of a farmer’s death or serious accident, their family will not need to apply to any government office for compensation. The entire process will be online, and the assistance amount can be received from the comfort of their homes.

Verification from Home, Money Directly into Account
Under the new system, as soon as information about a farmer’s death or accident is received, the verification process will be completed online. All necessary documents will be verified digitally. After verification, the compensation amount will be transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account, saving both time and hassle.

Financial Assistance of Five Lakh Rupees
Under this scheme, if a farmer dies in an accident or becomes seriously disabled, the state government provides financial assistance of five lakh rupees to their family. This amount is intended to provide financial support to the family after the accident.

Previously Offline Process, Now Everything Online
Until now, farmers’ families had to visit the tehsil and other government offices to receive compensation. The application, verification, and approval process took a considerable amount of time. But now the entire process has been made online, which will increase transparency and expedite payments.

The Chief Minister’s Farmer Accident Welfare Scheme was launched in 2019. This scheme was started under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to provide financial security to farmers and their families in case of accidents during farming.
