1. ATM withdrawal charge
The RBI had announced that now customers will have to pay more charge for withdrawing cash from ATMs. Earlier this charge was Rs 21, but now it will be increased to Rs 23. This new charge will come into effect from 1 May 2025. According to media reports, these changes have been made by both the central bank, RBI and NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India).
Currently, it is free to withdraw cash up to three times in the metro city. But on withdrawing more cash from the limit, you have to pay 21 rupees. Which is cut automatically from your bank account.
2. Effect on LPG gas
Every month the prices of domestic gas to commercial gas are revised by the gas agency. That is, on the 1st, its price is seen or a decline. It is worth noting that in April itself, the government has increased the prices of all cylinders by about 50 rupees.
3. Change in FD and Saving Account
RBI has dropped the repo rate twice in a row this year. The effect of which has been seen from the bank’s FD account to the loan. Many government and veteran private banks have changed their interest rates. Many banks can also change interest rates in the coming time.
4. Changes in local bank
There may be a big change in rural banks from May 1. There is a plan to form a large bank by combining all the rural banks in each state. This work will be done under a state, an RRB scheme. These changes will be seen in the first 11 states. These include West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh.
5. What will happen in the railway?
There is going to be a big change related to railway ticket booking from May 1. Now passengers will not be able to travel in sleeper and AC coaches on waiting tickets.
