Summer Special Trains: In preparation for the summer holidays and the festive season, the Indian Railways has offered considerable relief to travelers in Jharkhand and West Bengal. They have announced the launch of 12 summer special trains that will connect Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Telangana.
There is a high demand for reservations on all trains through May and June. Passengers from Bihar and Jharkhand will also gain direct benefits from these trains, as they will make stops at Durgapur, Asansol, Chittaranjan, and Madhupur stations in the Asansol division.
This railway initiative will enable thousands of passengers traveling from the western and southern states to Jharkhand and Bengal to travel without the stress of securing tickets. After the initial announcement of 10 trains, two more special trains have been added on the Sabarmati-Asansol and Sultanpur-Dankuni routes.
Key summer special trains and their routes include:
- Bhavnagar-Howrah Special (09531/09532): Connecting Gujarat to Bengal, with a stop in the Asansol division.
- Sabarmati-Durgapur Special (09421/09422): Features AC coaches, with stops at Durgapur, Andal, and Asansol.
- Valsad-Durgapur Special (09143/09144, 09079/09080): Offers General, Sleeper, and AC coaches.
- Udhna-Durgapur Special (09175/09176 etc.): Provides multi-date services, ideal for passengers heading to Jharkhand.
- Nanded-Asansol Special (07701/07702): Travels from Maharashtra to Asansol, offering both AC and non-AC options.
- Charlapalli-Madhupur Special (07580/07581 etc.): Runs from Telangana to Madhupur (Jharkhand), stopping at Chittaranjan, Andal, and Asansol.
Recently announced trains include:
Sabarmati-Asansol Special (09435/09436): Fully air-conditioned, leaving Sabarmati on April 29 at 10:55 pm.
Sultanpur-Dankuni Special (04250/04249): Offers General, sleeper, and AC coaches, departing Sultanpur on April 24 at 4:45 am.
