The Shade Net House Scheme, launched by the Agriculture Department of the Government of Rajasthan, has become a great opportunity for farmers in the state to increase their income and adopt modern farming methods. Under this scheme, farmers are encouraged to grow horticultural crops, such as vegetables, flowers, and fruits, in a controlled environment. A Shade Net House is a special structure that helps increase production by protecting crops from weather and pests. The government is offering a subsidy of 50% to 70% on the construction of this structure to make farming more profitable.

What is a Shade Net House?

A Shade Net House is a structure made of woven mesh that allows sunlight, air, and moisture to enter. This creates a favorable microclimate for plants, promoting better growth. It is also known as a Net House. With this structure, farmers can protect their crops from weather, pests, and other natural risks, enabling year-round production.

Main Benefits of the Scheme

  • Subsidy for a maximum area of 4000 square meters.
  • 50% subsidy for general category farmers.
  • 70% subsidy for small, marginal, Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) farmers.
  • Under the Chief Minister’s budget announcement, farmers from small, marginal, and tribal areas will get an additional 25% subsidy.
  • The subsidy is either transferred directly to the farmer’s bank account or to the construction firm (with the farmer’s consent).
