According to the official website of SBI Card, from September 1, 2025, reward points will no longer be available on digital gaming and government transactions with the Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card, Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card Select, and Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card Prime. This means that if you buy online gaming credit with these cards or make any payment on government portals, then no reward points will be added to your account in return.
This is not the first time SBI Card has taken such a step. In December 2024, the company also ceased earning points for spending on digital gaming platforms with certain cards.
Now, the question must be arising in the minds of SBI customers: how can reward points be used, and is there any fee associated with it? According to the rules of SBI Card, a cost of Rs 99 and tax are also payable for reward redemption. This fee is charged as a delivery and processing charge for the product.
There is no need to register again to redeem reward points. Customers can use the points by logging in with their existing username and password. However, products purchased with rewards are sent only to the registered address of the cardholder.
