Subhadra Yojana Update: The government has transferred Rs 5000 to the accounts of women beneficiaries. This has brought much joy to the women. This amount has been transferred to the accounts of women who are enrolled in the Subhadra Yojana. Only women who are residents of Odisha are eligible for this benefit.
This money was supposed to be credited to the accounts on January 18, 2026, but due to some administrative reasons, the date was extended by 5 days. Now, the amount of Rs 5000 is being directly transferred to the accounts of eligible women, which is proving to be great news. The Subhadra Yojana will bring new happiness and progress to the lives of women in Odisha.

Important things to know about the Subhadra Yojana
The Odisha government launched the Subhadra Yojana to empower women economically and socially. This is an important welfare scheme. It was launched on September 17, 2024. Under this scheme, eligible women are provided with financial assistance of Rs 10,000 annually. However, only Rs 5000 has been transferred today.
This means that Rs 10,000 is provided annually in two instalments of Rs 5000 each. According to the state government’s report, the instalment money has been transferred to the accounts of approximately 4.57 lakh women. Each instalment is Rs 5000. Each woman can receive a maximum benefit of up to Rs 50,000 throughout the entire duration of the scheme. The money is transferred directly to the account through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
When was the money received previously?
The Odisha government released the previous insinstalment the Subhadra Yojana on August 8, 2025. To avail of this scheme, women must be permanent residents of Odisha. Their minimum age should not be less than 21 years and not more than 60 years. Additionally, if a woman is already receiving assistance of ₹1,500 or more per month or ₹18,000 or more annually from any state or central government scheme, she will not be eligible for this scheme.
How to check your name
Women can easily check their names in the beneficiary list.
To do this, first, you need to visit the website subhadra.odisha.gov.in.
Then, scroll down on the website and click on “Beneficiary List”.
After that, select your district, block, and ward, and then click on “View”.
The complete list will then be displayed on the screen.
