Ration Card– Big news for Ration Card holders. In Jharkhand’s East Singhbhum district, names of ration card beneficiaries are being deleted through a campaign. Under this campaign, names of beneficiaries whose Aadhaar number is not linked with the card yet are being deleted. It has not been revealed how many names have been deleted so far, because this work is being done by NIC, not the supply department.
Under this campaign, if a ration card has five people and only two of them have Aadhaar seeding, then the names of the remaining three will be deleted. It is said that earlier all the card holders were given many opportunities. But people did not take it seriously and did not give their Aadhaar numbers. Experts in this matter say that such people do not want to give Aadhaar number because their name is also included in some other ration card.
By giving Aadhaar, this secret will be revealed, which they do not want. Under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), Smart PDS is going to be implemented in the entire state including East Singhbhum from September 1. The work of deleting names has to be completed before this. Supply officials of all the districts have been warned in this regard.
