New Delhi: Many excellent schemes are being implemented for the well-being and convenience of the elderly. These schemes are also showing a visible impact. The Post Office has now launched a special facility for elderly pensioners. In Noida, adjacent to Delhi, postmen will visit their homes to prepare life certificates.
This is considered a major step by the Postal Department. This initiative is especially useful for elderly people who face mobility challenges or are unable to stand in long queues at treasuries and banks. Previously, submitting life certificates at the district treasury would require standing in long queues. But now, with this new facility, they will be able to access this service from the comfort of their homes.

Relief for Elderly Pensioners
The Post Office has provided significant relief to the elderly. Senior Master Manoj Kumar Singh of the Main Post Office shared important information. He explained that pensioners simply need to contact their nearest post office and apply.
After this, on the scheduled date, the postman will arrive at their home, and after Aadhaar verification and thumb impression through a biometric device, the certificate will be ready. The post office will charge only ₹70 for this.
Information about the completion of the certificate will be sent to the pensioner’s mobile number. Pensioners can also download it from the jeevanpramaan.gov.in portal if they wish.
Which seniors will benefit from this facility?
This facility provided by the post office will benefit elderly pensioners. A significant number of seniors over 80 years of age are eligible. This facility will be a boon for them, as they often face difficulties in reaching the treasury due to health problems and distance. Now, there will be no need to visit the treasury. This facility provided by the post office is sure to be greatly appreciated.
