PNB Alert- Big news for PNB customers. If you have an account in Punjab National Bank (PNB), then this news is very important for you. The bank has alerted its customers whose KYC (Know Your Customer) update is still pending. PNB has clearly stated that customers who have not updated their KYC by 30 June 2025 have now been given time till 8 August 2025. If the KYC process is not completed by the due date, then your account will be frozen i.e. you will neither be able to withdraw nor deposit money.

Why is it necessary to update KYC?

The purpose of this process is to prevent any kind of fraud, money laundering or financial misuse. All banks including PNB get KYC updated from time to time so that the customer’s information remains correct and active. If you have not updated KYC for a long time, then it is very important to do it now or else the bank will temporarily close (freeze) your account.

Income proof (if required)

By email or post- If you do not want to go to the bank or do it online, then you can send the necessary documents to your home branch through registered email or post.

What if KYC is not updated on time?

  • If you do not update your KYC by 8 August 2025, the bank will temporarily freeze your account. In such a situation, you will not be able to do some important work.
  • You will not be able to withdraw or deposit money from your account.
