Under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, one village in each district will be chosen for the Model Solar Village Award. The village that best uses solar energy will receive a prize of ₹1 crore. In Rewari district, 14 villages have been selected for this competition launched by the central government.

ADC Rahul Modi stated that solar energy is the best option for alternative energy. Last year in February, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. Under this scheme, eligible families will have solar power systems installed, with a grant for the solar system.

He also mentioned that the Electricity Distribution Corporation is installing solar plants at households throughout villages. With this scheme, the family can reduce their electricity bill to very little, or even zero. The village that installs the most solar panels from May 26 to November 26 this year will be eligible for the award.

The Electricity Distribution Corporation is installing solar plants in homes in every village. Using this scheme, a family can reduce their electricity bill to very low or even zero. The village with the most solar panels installed between May 26 and November 26 will get the award.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner said 14 villages in the district are in this competition. These include Maheshwari, Dahina, Akeda, Gokalgarh, Nandrampur Bas, Gurawara, Ghatal Mahniyawas, Rampura, Jainabad, Manethi, Siha, Bhakli, Kosli, and Nahar. One will be chosen as a model solar village.

The aim of this scheme is to select at least one village in each district as a solar model. This will encourage other villages to use the Prime Minister’s Solar Home Free Electricity Scheme. Solar energy can be used to generate electricity at home and run tube wells. The government gives up to 75% subsidy to Panchayats for solar systems in SC and BC Chaupals.

Subsidy and Loan

The government gives a fixed subsidy:

  • 1 kilowatt: ₹30,000
  • 2 kilowatt: ₹60,000
  • 3 kilowatt: ₹78,000

It usually costs ₹90,000 for 1 kilowatt and up to ₹2 lakh for higher capacity. Subsidy reduces the cost a lot.

If you cannot pay at once, the government gives loans at 7% interest. This helps common people install solar panels easily.

Extra Benefits

You can also sell the electricity from your solar panels to earn extra money. The subsidy comes directly to your bank account within 30 days.

This scheme helps provide free electricity and promotes solar energy. It is important to reduce future power problems and use clean energy.
