It is a scheme designed in such a way that you, too, can join it and reap its benefits. However, there are many farmers whose past instalments have remained pending due to minor errors on their part.

The government transfers the instalment funds only to the accounts of those farmers who have completed all the necessary procedural formalities. If you, too, have not received the ₹2,000 instalment, whether due to pending e-KYC or any other reason, do not worry.
Simply complete the necessary formalities first, and you will easily be able to receive the benefits of your previously pending instalments in the Lakhimpur district of Uttar Pradesh. There is a significant number of such farmers who failed to complete the required procedures, resulting in their instalments being withheld.
Deputy Director Provides Key Information
The installation of thousands of farmers in the Lakhimpur district has been stalled due to data-related discrepancies. In this regard, Girish Chandra, the Deputy Director of Agriculture, has appealed to these farmers to verify their documents as soon as possible so they can avail themselves of the scheme’s benefits.
According to the information available, three distinct categories of discrepancies have surfaced within the district. The first category comprises 5,347 farmers who acquired land through means other than inheritance; however, the accurate details regarding this acquisition have not been properly recorded.
The second category involves 5,458 cases where both the former and current landowners were simultaneously claiming benefits under the scheme for the same land parcel (Khasra). In such instances, the Government of India has initiated a freeze on payments. The third—and largest—category consists of approximately 26,349 cases where information regarding the previous landowner was not captured or recorded at the time of registration. Due to these various errors, the instalment payments for these farmers have been held up.
Agriculture Department Issues Clarification
According to the Agriculture Department, it is now clear that the concerned farmers must visit a ‘Jan Seva Kendra’ (Common Service Centre) to update their data, bringing along all necessary documents. These documents include land records, identity proofs, and other essential papers.
According to officials, if farmers rectify their data errors promptly, they will indeed be able to receive the benefits of their previously withheld instalments. Payments will continue to be disbursed seamlessly in the future as well. Farmers are urged not to delay this process and to complete the necessary rectification work as soon as possible.
When will the next instalment be received?
The question of when the next instalment under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme will be received remains a major point of inquiry. The government transferred the 22nd instalment of ₹2,000 on March 13, 2026. The funds for the next instalment are now expected to be transferred during the last week of June.
