PM Kisan Yojana: For millions of farmers in the country, the central government’s PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a significant help. Farmers who have already received 21 installments are now waiting for the next one. But before the expected 22nd installment in February, there is an important task that, if ignored, could result in the withholding of the Rs. 2,000 payment.

Installment will be withheld if e-KYC is not done

The government has made e-KYC mandatory to make the scheme transparent and prevent fraudulent beneficiaries. If your Aadhaar card and mobile number do not match correctly, the 22nd installment will not be credited to your account. Many farmers did not receive payment in the previous installment for this very reason.

First, visit the official website pmkisan.gov.in.

Go to the Farmers’ Corner section on the homepage.

Click on the e-KYC option.

Then enter your Aadhaar number.

Enter the OTP received on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number and submit.

You will then receive a “Successfully Submitted” message, and your e-KYC will be complete.

When will the next installment of PM Kisan arrive?

According to the rules, the PM Kisan Yojana installment is released every four months. The previous, i.e., the 21st installment, was transferred by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to approximately 9 crore farmers from Coimbatore on November 19, 2025.Β  Since the four months is completed in February, it is expected that the next installment of Rs. 2,000 may be credited to farmers’ accounts in February 2026. However, the government has not yet officially announced the date.

Why do farmers receive Rs. 6,000?

The objective of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is to help small and marginal farmers with farming-related needs such as seeds, fertilizers, and other expenses.
