PM Kisan 23rd Instalment: The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, administered by the Central Government, is proving to be an invaluable initiative. The objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to farmers for the upkeep and maintenance of their crops. Under this scheme, the Central Government provides an annual sum of ₹6,000, disbursed in three instalments of ₹2,000 each.
This amount is transferred directly into the farmers’ bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). To date, all eligible farmers have successfully received the benefits of 22 instalments of ₹2,000 each. Consequently, a question has arisen in the minds of female farmers: can they, too, avail themselves of the benefits offered by this scheme? According to government regulations, female farmers are indeed considered eligible for this scheme. However, you must first understand certain essential conditions.
Key Rules for Female Farmers
To avail of the benefits under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, it is mandatory for the cultivable land to be registered in the woman’s name. Furthermore, if the land within the family is registered in the husband’s name, the wife cannot claim separate benefits under this scheme. However, if—for any reason—the land is officially recorded in the woman’s name, she is eligible to apply.
According to government norms, only one member per household (or per single Ration Card) is entitled to receive the benefits of this scheme. This implies that both a husband and wife cannot simultaneously receive the benefits of this scheme.
Who is Ineligible for the Scheme’s Benefits?
If a female farmer or her husband holds a government job or is a retired pensioner, they are deemed ineligible for this scheme. Additionally, if any member of the family pays income tax, the family is disqualified from receiving the instalments under the PM Kisan Scheme. Furthermore, if any individual within the farmer’s family holds a constitutional post, that individual—along with their family—will be excluded from the purview of this scheme.
Documents Required for Application
It iThe beneficiary woman’s Aadhaar card must be linked with her bank account and mobile number. A *Khatouni* (land record extract) or other relevant land documents are required to serve as proof that the land is officially registered in the woman’s name. How to Check the Status of the Next Installment
The Central Government is expected to release the next instalment during the last week of June or the first week of July. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding the disbursement of the instalments now. Farmers can easily check their status by visiting the official PM Kisan website (pmkisan.gov.in) and selecting the ‘Know Your Status’ option. Additionally, if there are any errors in the application, they can be rectified online through the ‘Aadhaar Failure Records’ section.
