Why is e-KYC important?

The purpose of e-KYC is to ensure that the PM Kisan Yojana funds are directly credited to the correct farmer’s bank account. Sometimes, due to incorrect or fraudulent information, instalments get stuck or transferred to another account. Properly matching Aadhaar and bank details prevents such fraud. Payments can be processed seamlessly only when a farmer’s information is consistent across all government records. Therefore, e-KYC and Aadhaar linking have been made mandatory.

How to perform e-KYC online?
