PM Kisan 22nd Installment Update: When Will Rs 2,000 Be Credited & Who May Miss It?

PM Kisan 22nd Installment Update: Millions of farmers who are part of the PM Kisan scheme are eagerly looking forward to the 22nd installment of Rs 2,000. The government has yet to announce an official date. However, since the 21st installment was released in November 2025, it is anticipated that the next installment will be available between February and March 2026.

How to receive funds under PM Kisan Yojana?

The PM Kisan Yojana provides eligible landholding farmer families with financial support of Rs 6,000 each year. This amount is distributed in three equal installments, with each installment of Rs 2,000 being directly transferred to the farmer’s bank account through DBT.

As per the government website, completing eKYC is essential to benefit from the scheme. Farmers can perform OTP-based eKYC on the PM Kisan portal, while biometric eKYC can be completed at the nearest CSC center.

How to complete PM Kisan e-KYC online?

Farmers can update their e-KYC from the comfort of their homes.

To do this, visit the official PM Kisan website.

Navigate to the Farmers Corner section and select the e-KYC option.

Input your Aadhaar number and click on Search.

Provide the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar and click on Get OTP.

Your e-KYC will be finalized as soon as you enter the OTP sent to your mobile.

Method for e-KYC using face authentication

Farmers can also complete e-KYC using face authentication via their mobile phones.

Download the PM-KISAN app and the Aadhaar Face RD app.

Log in to the PM-KISAN app using your registered mobile number.

Go to the Beneficiary Status page.

If the e-KYC status indicates ‘No’, select the e-KYC option, enter your Aadhaar number, and allow the face scan.

The e-KYC will be updated once the face scan is successfully completed.

What to do to avoid missing the next installment?

Farmers should complete e-KYC on time.

Make sure that Aadhaar is linked to the bank account.

Land records and registration details should be correct and updated.

If Farmer ID is mandatory in the state, then definitely get it made.

Which farmers’ payments might be delayed?

The government has categorized certain situations as exclusions under the PM Kisan scheme. This includes farmers who acquired land after February 1, 2019. Additionally, if multiple members of the same family are benefiting from the scheme, such as both spouses or any adult relative, their payments could be paused.

In these instances, payments are temporarily suspended until a physical verification is conducted. Farmers can verify their eligibility using the Know Your Status (KYS) feature on the PM Kisan website or mobile app, or by consulting the Kisan eMitra chatbot.
