Farmers receive financial assistance

The PM Kisan Yojana aims to provide regular financial assistance to small and marginal farmers. Under this scheme, farmers receive an annual assistance of ₹6,000, which is disbursed directly to their bank accounts in three installments of ₹2,000 each. This payment is made through the Direct Benefit Transfer system to maintain transparency.

This scheme was established to support farmers in meeting their farming needs, including seeds, fertilizers, and other expenses, and has provided continuous assistance to farmers for several years.

Necessary Work for the 22nd Installment

The government has recently accelerated the beneficiary verification process. The main objective is to remove fake beneficiaries and ensure that funds reach the right farmers. In many cases, payments were held up due to incorrect documentation or incomplete information.

The government is making land record verification, Aadhaar linking, and identity verification mandatory to ensure the proper use of government funds.

Reasons for Your Installment Delay

Payments may be delayed if the farmer has not completed e-KYC or if their Aadhaar and bank account information are not properly linked. Furthermore, land record verification is essential. Experts believe that keeping documents up-to-date significantly reduces the likelihood of payment delays and ensures timely payment.

How to complete e-KYC from home

Farmers can easily complete e-KYC by visiting the official portal. To do this, select the e-KYC option, enter your Aadhaar number, and verify your identity using the OTP received on your mobile phone.
