In fact, on July 11, i.e. Friday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took a historic step under the Social Security Pension Scheme and transferred an amount of Rs 1227.27 crore to the bank accounts of 1 crore 11 lakh beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). This time for the first time, the beneficiaries got an increased pension amount of Rs 1100 instead of Rs 400.
CM Nitish’s big gift, Rs 1100 transferred to the accounts of 1.11 crore people
During this, CM Nitish Kumar said that the government has decided that an amount of Rs 400 to Rs 1100 will be given every month. This amount has been made effective from June. On the 10th of every month, the pension amount will be transferred to everyone’s account. All widows, elderly, and disabled persons of Bihar will be given Rs 1100.
Nitish Kumar said that it is being started from today, which will benefit crores of people, whose age is 60 years, whether it is a man or a woman, everyone will be given this help. All the disabled people above 60 years of age are also being given this assistance. At the same time, all widow women are also being given Rs 1100.
The amount given under these schemes
This amount was distributed under six social security schemes- Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension (35.57 lakh), Lakshmibai Social Security Pension (8.64 lakh), Bihar Disability Pension (9.65 lakh), Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension (6.32 lakh), Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension (1.10 lakh), and Chief Minister Old Age Pension (49.89 lakh). This move is being considered a masterstroke of the Nitish government before the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025.
