Passport Making: Are you also planning to get a passport? Then today’s news is just for you. Now passport will not only be made quickly, but its making process will also become safe and fast. AI (Artificial) will now be used in everything from police verification to scanning of documents. The passport division of the Ministry of External Affairs is planning to use this modern technology. Biometrics, advanced data analysis, chat bots etc. will be used along with AI. Due to this, the passport which is usually issued in 30 days will be available in just 15 days.

There are plans to use AI for foolproof verification. Under automatic document verification, scanning will be done through AI tools. This will scan the application form and submitted documents (such as Aadhaar card, birth certificate, address proof). These tools will check the authenticity of the documents, such as analyzing fonts, signatures, barcodes and other security features. This will detect errors in the application (such as wrong name, date of birth, or incomplete details).

It will immediately notify applicants for correction. This will reduce the need for manual verification. Fake documents can be identified using machine learning models. Tampered photos, fake signatures, or altered barcodes can be detected. It will also help in getting an appointment for interview for getting a passport made at the Passport Seva Kendra.

Police verification of applicants will be speeded up through AI. It will be integrated with the CCTNS (Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems) database. This system will make police verification digital and automated. AI will match the applicant’s details (such as name, address, Aadhaar number) with the database and check for criminal records or suspicious activities. This process will be faster than the earlier manual police verification as AI can complete the data analysis in seconds.
